Seacoast VeloKids is a non-profit organization dedicated to the introduction and promotion of cycling to the youth of New Hampshire and Maine's Seacoast communities. Currently we are developing a mountain biking program, with a five-year vision to expand into multiple disciplines across a variety of age groups. Our goal is to promote cycling as a lifelong activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

OCX / SVK Jr Nationals Scholarships Awarded!
Here they are…the 2018 OCX/SVK Junior Nationals Scholarship Winners.
We are very pleased to have received so many quality applications for our inaugural scholarship. Each applicant was a great story of junior cycling in New England but these four rose to the top of our list. We evaluated each applicant on their racing resume for 2018, their contributions to the NECX community and their passion for our sport.
Our four grant recipients, Henry Lord (Kittery Point, ME – AP JR Development), Molly Dishong (Francestown, NH - Guipago Custom Cycles); Ella Dishong (Francestown, NH - Guipago Custom Cycles) and Pierce Channell (Pembroke, MA - BC High School) are each great examples of the NECX community and Junior Racing.
The parents/guardians of each of our recipients will receive $750 to help with travel and race expenses at nationals held in Louisville, KY. Our total grant distribution of $3000 is from Orchard Cross, Seacoast VeloKids and the greater NECX Community (thanks for all that participated in our crowdsourcing campaign at OCX earlier this year).
Each recipient is also provided bike transport to Nationals courtesy of Barker Mountain Bikes and warmup space at Nationals in the Colonial Bicycle Company Tent.
So please join us in congratulating these fine young cyclists in wishing them “bonne chance” at USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals in Louisville, KY this upcoming December 11-16th
What People Are Saying!
"I'm a mountain biker and always hoped to get my kids into it. But my son has always needed more instant gratification than the bumps, roots, and rocks of a tough trail could provide. He didn't see the joy and fun in the sport. That is, until SVK. He absolutely loved it! The coaches were great, and fed his energy in a way that made him look forward to the program every week. It's quite possibly the best program or camp he's experienced so far in his life. And it taught him a lot about perseverance and hard work along the way."
