Summer Ride Program  - Parents Information

Welcome to the SVK Summer Ride Program. We have a fun schedule planned for the riders and I think they will walk away from this experience as confident bikers - ready to take on the toughest of trails.

We wanted to point out a couple key items/reminders:
  • Our goal and mission is to have fun; while sharing the knowledge and experiences that we as coaches have had on the bike.
  • Please keep the energy level up – our coaching staff is ready for this mission – but needs your help to keep the dream alive.
  • We will ride in the sun and rain; thunderstorms will be the only thing that stops us. Stay posted on Facebook for updates if the weather looks bad.
  • Please drop riders by 1:20 at the picnic benches located near the playground at Stratham Hill Park, Main Parking Lot – we start at 1:30
  • Parental sign-in at the picnic table is required every day
  • Please pick up at 3:30 (identify whom will be picking up – ID is required)
  • Please bring the following items for your lil ripper:
    • Bug spray
    • Sunscreen, when applicable.
    • Allergy medication, if applicable.
    • Emergency Contact Information
    • Appropriate clothing for the weather anticipated.
    • Bikes (if you cannot provide – one can be provided – advanced notice on size is required)
    • Bike Helmets (if you cannot provide – one will be provided – advanced notice on size is required)
    • Appropriate footwear.
    • FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED BY CLIF BAR.
    • HYDRATION WILL BE PROVIDED BY CLIF BAR.
    • Hydration Pack (water bottles will be provided for riders without packs – ensure a water bottle cage is installed on the bike if you plan on using a water bottle)
  • Parents are welcome to join on the ride and discussions. Coaches retain the right to keep participation to a minimum depending on the skill being practiced and/or goal of the drill.

Very Important Note:
WEEK 2 WILL BE HELD AT AN ALTERNATE LOCATION DUE TO THE STRATHAM FAIR – MORE INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED WITH ADVANCED NOTICE

Thanks,
